Kevin Smith Would Like To See Tim Miller Direct The Flash Movie

Warner Bros. seems to be having a bit of trouble getting The Flash off the ground. While the character is clearly flourishing on the small screen, it’s a whole different story for his cinematic counterpart. The first bump in the road came when Seth Grahame-Smith departed, leaving the film without a director. Rick Famuyiwa signed on shortly after but then he too exited. Now, Warner Bros. is left searching for a replacement once again and so far, they’ve come up short.

On the latest episode of his podcast, Kevin Smith suggested that Deadpool director Tim Miller hop on over to DC and get behind the camera for Barry Allen’s solo outing, after all, with the filmmaker not taking on the Merc With a Mouth’s sequel anymore.

Whether or not Miller would want to direct another superhero flick so soon after Deadpool is another question entirely, and as of now, he hasn’t voiced any interest in doing so. Nor has Warner Bros. or DC mentioned his name as a potential candidate. In fact, they haven’t mentioned anyone up to this point, which is a bit surprising. As far as we know, The Flash is still on track to race into theatres on March 16th, 2018.
