Bob Bradley has been fired from his role
as Swansea City manager, 85 days after appointment following Francesco
Guidolin’s sacking.
The Welsh club recorded two wins, seven defeats and two draws
after eleven games in charge.
The American’s dismissal comes after a 4-1 thrashing by
West Ham in a Premier League match at Liberty Stadium on Boxing Day, December
26.
‘We are sorry to lose Bob after such a short period of time,’ the
club’s chairman, Huw Jenkins said in a statement.
‘Unfortunately things haven’t worked out as planned and we felt
we had to make the change with half the Premier League season remaining.
‘With the club going through such a tough time, we have to try
and find the answers to get ourselves out of trouble.’
The club’s first team coaches Paul Williams and Alan
Curtis will take charge in the short term, while club owners search
for a new manager in ‘due course’.
Swansea City is 19th on
the league standings with 12 points from 18 matches played.
