Sunday Oliseh Goes Five Games Unbeaten

 

Sunday Oliseh recorded his fourth win in charge of Fortuna Sittard, as the Dutch second division side on Friday defeated FC Emmen 3-2 making it their fifth game without a defeat. Finn Stokkers scored a brace in the encounter to extend Fortuna Sittard's unbeaten run to five games since their defeat to Almere City on the 27th of January.

Perr Schuurs gave the visitors the lead in the 23rd minute of the encounter, but Alexander Bannink leveled scores for FC Emmen on the stroke of half time. At the restart FC Emmen took the lead through Josimar Lima in the 57th minute but the hosts’ celebration was short-lived as Sittard restored parity a minute later with Finn Stokkers finishing off a swift counter-attack. Stokkers scored Fortuna Sittard's winner with a well taken spot kick in the 84th minute.

With the away win, Fortuna improve on their race against relegation with 30 points from 27 matches, though still occupy the 16th position in the Dutch Jupiler League table.
