22 people dead as bomb explodes at Ariana Grande’s UK concert

As of this report, 22  people are reported dead, with even more injured after a bomb went off as people were leaving US singer, Ariana Grande‘s concert in Manchester on Monday, May 22.

The blast is said to have been caused by a suicide bomber, with British Prime Minister, Theresa May saying the incident is being treated as a terrorist attack.
Police said the attacker died after detonating explosives shortly after 10:33 pm (21:33 GMT) at Manchester Arena.
The Arena has the capacity to hold 21,000 people and children were reported among the dead, police said.
‘The blast caught concertgoers unaware as people tried to flee the arena,’
concertgoer Majid Khan, 22, told Britain’s Press Association.
North West ambulance services said 60 ambulances were dispatched to the arena, with 59 people transferred to six hospitals across Greater Manchester, and a number of ‘walking wounded’ treated at the scene, the Guardian reports.
An eyewitness, Karen Ford told CNN that she had taken her 13-year-old daughter to the concert.
‘There was mayhem on the street, there were children crying, trying to get in touch with parents, parents on their phones trying to contact their kids,’ she said, adding that cell connection was poor as so many people were using their phones simultaneously.

Although the singer was unhurt, she posted this message on Twitter
