Alex Iwobi Will Survive At Arsenal - Okocha

Austin Okocha believes the career of Arsenal Alex Iwobi will not stagnate should manager Arsene Wenger depart in the summer. The former Super Eagles captain is an uncle to the young forward who has not played for the Gunners since the 2-2 draw against Manchester City on April 2.

He said “It's not easy to break into an Arsenal team a young player won't cope with a whole season. It's understandable he's not playing recently.  Overall he has done well. No player is happy when he's not playing but he's still young. He's not playing for Wenger. He's playing for Arsenal even though Wenger gave him the opportunity.  If Wenger goes, he will fight on.”

The former Bolton captain also gave his opinion on Wenger future with the club saying “I don't think Wenger should go.  They've been up there for 20 years and you would expect that they will have one or two bad seasons. He's one of the best coaches in the world and deserves a lot of respect for what he has done.”
