MFM FC striker Stephen Odey feels Sunday’s Nigeria Professional Football League
stalemate with Enyimba International FC
of Aba will not have any negative impact on the Lagos club’s quest to win the
NPFL title.
Odey
posited that the players are determined to avoid any unforeseen pitfalls that
might derail the club's mission in subsequent games as the season gets to its
closing stage. MFM are second in the NPFL with 56 points, three points behind
leaders Plateau United with five
matchdays to the end of the season.
He
said “We gave our best against Enyimba
but that is football; you don’t win all the time even though that was what we
all desired. Everyone knows Enyimba is a good side with lots of experience on
their side but we are okay with the draw.”
