Fast And Furious Controversy: Tyrese Gibson And Ludacris Turned Down A Spinoff

There has being a lot of news lately about the much love Fast and Furious franchise and one man that has had a lot to say this past week is Tyrese Gibson (Roman). His recent Instagram post suggests that the delay for Fast And Furious 9 is due to the development of a spinoff film featuring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham.

Tyrese responded to Dwayne Johnson’s Instagram post, which pictured him hard at work on project development, with a calling out of what he considers to be divisive behaviour. Gibson clearly believes that spinoffs from the Fast And Furious franchise are unacceptable.

Now, he’s fired off another Instagram shot, paying tribute to the cast of the original 2001 movie, and accusing The Rock of breaking up the family by seizing upon the opportunity for a spinoff film.

Gibson makes the point that he and Ludacris previously turned down their own spinoff opportunity, specifically because they believed it better to keep the family together, without striking out alone.

He said “Diversity, love, multi ethnic worldwide multi generational, United Nations, One Race, Fast Family...... Until Dewayne showed up I guess this whole time he had a problem cause he wasn't the ONLY ONE on the movie poster........... I guess dreams do come true congratulations to @hhgarcia41 and @therock you guys are just amazing you really broke up the #FastFamily I tried to warn you guys... You thought I was hating...... I was simply fighting to keep the family together what makes us great is when you see us all TOGETHER we don't fly solo..... #MyLastPost today.....
