M.I Abaga drags Nas to court, see why

M.I Abaga is filing a lawsuit against rapper Nas for delivering a verse weak verse on his song. According to the lawsuit, M.I paid Nas $50,000 for a verse but the American rapper did not deliver as expected.
Choc City complained about a lack of lyricism and talent in the verse that Nas sent. Choc City claim that they requested Nas to re-record the verse three years ago but he has failed to do so.
It is majorly for this reason that Chocolate City is suing Nas and Ronnie Goodman of Mass Appeal Records.
Filed in New York State Supreme Court, the suit claims that Nas failed to mention ‘M.I, Chocolate City, Nigeria, Queens, New York—NAS’s hometown—, Mandela, Trayvon Martin, and the struggles of Africans and African Americans,’ as they had initially agreed upon. See the suit below.

MI, who deleted all his Instagram photos in anticipation of the new single he dropped today, also told news platform NETng about his unwillingness to talk about the court case stating he rather wants to talk about his new single. This was said when NETng reached out to M.I's manager.

’Please my brother, let’s just leave that for now. We just dropped a new single today butnobody is talking about that. All. They’re saying is Nas Nas Nas. We will make a statement on that soon. But for now, let’s talk about the music, ‘ his manager said.
