A Review Of Songs Released Last Week

Thank God its another week and it is that time on Absolute Hearts when we get the chance to review the latest songs that were released last week. What this means that we take a look at the top songs that were released during the week and we try to analyse it.
On Absolute Hearts we would analyse each songs base on the beats, lyrics, message and what potentials the songs has in becoming a hit or miss song. With that been said let give you the songs for last week which started on the 17th Monday.

1.     Davido x Dammy KraneIzzue: The first thing I like about this song is the production. Shizzi once again brought his top game on this. There was a perfect sync between Davido and Dammy Krane voice as they both interchange lines wonderfully. The lyrics were typical Davido lyrics where he talks about his money and swag and Dammy also bragged about his fine boy quality as usual. Izzue is a song that has the potential to be a hit song most especially among the girls in Babcock, Redeemers and Covenant University. I rate the song 7/10
2.     Simi Ft Falz -Jamb Question Remix: I just have one word for the song, BEAUTIFUL. The sweet instrumentals, the soul snatching vocal of Simi and of course the ever hilarious rap from Falz, everything combined made this song a perfect hit song. The message was clear enough and my rating is 9/10 though I have a Jamb Question of my own for Simi; is your name really Simi?
3.     Natoe C- Click: Guess who his bringing rap back, Yes it your boy Super Natoe C. According to news Day 1 would be the name of his next album and this song is expected to be on it. Masterkraft did a very nice job on this beat and Natoe delivered some powerful punchlines on it. This is a typical rap song that is definitely going to be a hit for those that truly appreciate rap music. With punchlines like “I only play for one team like am cup tie” “still cooking so am sprinkling in the roco” I rate this song a 8/10
4.     K9-Adura: There is no way you would miss it if you do a prayer song. I mean who doesn’t love a prayer song and that is what has made Adura from K9 a hit song. Message and lyrics was very clear and instrument was on point. I rate this song 8/10
5.     LKT- Gbagaun: LKT just knows how to give us those club bangers and he has done it again with Gbagaun. Nice beat that would get you grooving and the message is simple “get up and dance”. For a party song I rate it 7/10
6.     CDQ - Talosobe: Another Masterkraft production and with his Midas touch he killed it on this one. This song has the potential to become a hit song practically because of the concept; it has a similar street vibe to Jahbless Joor. “ta lo so pe punchlines o ja owo mo (Talosobe)”. One vital thing about this song is that CDQ showed us that he can always deliver in English just as much as in Yoruba.
7.     SAMKLEF- God Will Make Way and Iyin: This songs are proves that things are really going on well for the producer/singer as both songs talk about God and His wonderful works in his life. Like I said you can’t ever go wrong when you do a prayer song. I rate it a 7/10
8.     Timaya - Hustle Everyday: it been a while since I heard a Jay Stunt production but Timaya brought him back on this joint and he literally killed it. Hustle Everyday just shows that Timaya still has that plantain boy spirit in him and he won’t be slowing down any time soon. Rating would be 7/10
9.     D’BANJ - CONFIDENTIAL: Let me say this authoritatively this song was not for D’Banj originally it was for Shadowboxer and it featured Idris Elba and D’Banj. How D’Banj finally got the song is a miracle to me though D’Banj’s version and the original version are quite different. I rate this song 6/10. Click HERE to download the original song.
