Hey do you remember him, he became famous some months ago after killing a
lion in Zimbabwe.
Yes the Minnesota dentist who sparked an international firestorm after
killing Zimbabwe’s beloved lion Cecil, broke
his silence in an interview with the Associated Press as he expressed
both remorse and irritation for his act.
Walter Palmer, who would officially return to his work at his River Bluff
dental practice this week said, “If I had
known this lion had a name and was important to the country or a study obviously
I wouldn’t have taken it, nobody in our hunting party knew before or after the
name of this lion.” Palmer has insisted he acted in legal capacity and that
he wasn’t aware that Cecil was that he was part of an Oxford University
research project.
