We hardly
see a divorce case where the wife is said to pay the husband but that is the case of popular Chef Giada de Laurentiis.
Giada de Laurentiis has now been officially divorced from her husband of over 11 years Todd Thompson and according to the divorce document that was gotten from E! News the world famous chef has been ordered to pay her former husband $9,000 dollars in monthly child support.
The document also shows that Thompson would be the one getting their $3.2 million dollar home in Pacific Palisades which is said to include over $300,000 worth of furniture and artwork, all that has been award to Thompson. In addition, Thompson would also keep his membership at the Bel-Air Bay Club, which is located near his mansion.
Due to the fact that the former couple never signed a prenuptial agreement when they got married, the court has ordered De Laurentiis to give Thompson half of the unpaid advances to multiple cookbooks that she currently has in the pipeline which includes—Weeknights with Giada for $2.5 million, Giada's Feel Good Food for $2.3 million, and Everyday Pasta for $757,000
As for Giada de Laurentiis this is what she would get from the divorce, she would be keeping all of the rights to her soon-to-be released and currently untitled Italian cookbook as well as her own production company, Linguine Pictures. The two will share joint custody of their daughter, Jade Marie De Laurentiis Thompson, who is 7-years-old.
