Muscial Review from 29th August to 5th September

Yes we are here again with another fresh episode of Absolute Hearts Weekly Musical Review. This week I must say we have some great songs to review and also would be adding a little twist to reviews as we would be giving you Absolute Hearts song for the week

Without further ado let get down to the songs that we have for this week, this week we covered songs that were released from 29th August to 5th September

1. Leriq ft 2face - Answer: It Leriq call the paramedics, once you here that you know the production of that song has been murdered. Answer is a song that talks about life and its reality and who has so much authority on that topic if not 2Baba himself. With very powerful vocal and matured lyrics 2face gave this song his best shot. I rate the song 9/10 in terms of everything.

2. Leriq ft seyi shay - Xtasy: I have always said it to those that are willing to hear that Seyi Shay is the most versatile female artiste we have in Nigeria and she proved it on this joint. Like you know it Leriq so calling the paramedic is a must. 9/10

3. Leriq ft Illbliss x Chidinma x Ozone- Where You Dey: The only flaw I see in this song is Chidinma, she wasn't meant for this kind of song, someone like Yemi Alade would have done better, that is not to say she didn't bring her A game. Illbliss and Ozone did their part to savage the song and that’s why I am rating a 7/10.

4. Leriq ft Kayswitch x Cassper Nyovest - Hell of It: one word DOPE. Kayswitch and Cassper nailed it. 8/10

5. Lil kesh ft MVP x Maphian - Am I Mad: YBNL Solider Kesh showed us that he is not all about the part track as he goes hard on this Drake like beat. He got help from MVP and Maphian and they all killed it. This is a very dope rap joint and its rating is 8/10

6.   Klever Jay - Baba No Regret: Klever Jay is not relenting in his effort to return to the top as he drops this nice decent song. Baba No Regret is a typical Klever Jay song and he talks about how God has been able to bless him. I rate this song 7/10

7.  Saeon – Stori: She has been quiet for a while but you should know her for her breakout single Boogey Down which featured Wizkid. The Baseline act is back with a cool melodious song titled Stori and it was produced by TINTIN. If you listen closely you would hear fellow Baseline act Skales on the hook. I rate the song a 7/10.

8. Reminisce - Kpomo: Baba Hafusa is back again, this song is dope from the beginning to the end. This is a more matured version of Tesoju and the song has already taken over the street. 9/10 is the rating.

9. Ice Prince - Boss: Its your favourite boy Tekno on the beat and Ice Prince Zamani on the hit. Ice just showed how well he could sing though left to me much credit should be giving to Tekno for this joint. This is another club banger from Ice and the rating is 7/10
10. Psquare -  OMG(Free Me): Really what else do we except from this twins, they just know how to grind out that hit when you think they have nothing more to offer. The production credits goes to Paul Okoye and the rating 8/10.

11. Chidinma ft MI - Lorry: Using a similar pattern that she used in her previous hit song Emi Ni Baller, Ms Kedike was back to her best on this one and of course M.I didn't disappoint. The song might not be an instant hit but with a good video and constant air play it would get there. I rate the song 7/10 and the production credit goes to KezyKlef.

12. Eedris Abukareem ft MI - Telemudo: Oga Eedris! Really? do you have to keep repeating the word Telemudo? I mean for real. The first verse of this song was a no no for me, the chorus and the verse by M.I was the saving grace for this song. I rate the song 5/10 and the production credit goes to MI and SOSO BEAT.

13. K9 - Akorda (Gimme that): Akorda has the Alkayida sound and vibes which already is a popular sound and dance in Ghana and the producer/singer has decided to be the first to induce that sound into naija music. Just like his previous hit Kokoma, this song has every potential to be a club banger and the rating would be 8/10. Production credit goes to RFLX

14. Kcee ft Timaya - Alkayida: Alkayida dance and sound is a popular thing on the street of Ghana and Kcee has decided to join K9 in bringing that sound to naija. This might just be the second Ghanaian sound that would rock naija after Azonto. Not a bad song as Timaya also brought his A game on this and the production credit goes to Dr. Amir, my rating for this song is 7/10

15. Falz ft M.I x Show Dem Camp - Karishika Remix: Looking at artistes on this remix you can say Falz wanted to do a more serious rap remix to his hit song. The production credit still goes to Sess just like the original and with that I would rate the song 7/10.

To be honest it was difficult picking out the song of the week but no doubt it had to be Reminisce’s kpomo and you can download it HERE
