Lamar Odom Discharged To Continue Treatment in Los Angeles

 

Lamar Odom has been discharged from the Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas and was transported to a Los Angeles-area facility via helicopter. Khole was photographed exiting the hospital, and she has continued to remain by her ex's side as he recovers since coming out of a coma on Friday.

Lamar was seen being rushed into an L.A. area hospital on a gurney on Monday night as he appeared to be sedated while Khloé was right behind him with two bodyguards. Lamar is expected to be in the hospital for a while, with no immediate plans for him to be discharged though his health is improving. "Every day he is getting a bit better, but he is continuing to have extensive tests on his cognitive and motor functions, so no one can make a definitive diagnosis yet, he is more coherent day by day” a source said.

Odom, who is currently being treated for aspiration pneumonia, is said to have kidney damage though there is no transplant expected as yet as doctors will continue to keep him on dialysis for now.

Khloé released a statement on her website earlier today saying “The past week has been incredibly difficult. I am so thankful to family, friends and fans, who have sent nothing but prayers and well wishes to Lamar, I also want to take a moment to thank everyone at Sunrise Hospital, including the amazing doctors and nurses for their kindness and diligent work. Under their amazing care, incredible strides have been made. You can never be prepared for an experience like this, but without the outpouring of love and endless prayers that Lamar has received and the strength I was given from my loved ones, it would have been difficult to endure. Thank you for your continued support. God is great!!!”
