Manny Pacquiao has revealed his final fight could
take place in Dubai, and confirmed Amir
Khan is among a list of potential opponents.
The Filipino
has not fought since he was outpointed by great rival Floyd Mayweather last May and now he looks ready to make what would
also be his last fight as Pacquiao is set to bow out and focus on his
burgeoning political career, with April 7 penciled in for his swansong.
“This is my
first time (in Dubai) and I feel so happy to be here. Thank you for the warm
welcome, especially to the Filipino people in Dubai, I'd love to have a fight
here in Dubai but I don’t know yet. We are working on that. I have no
preference, it can be anybody it depends on the negotiation. There is Amir
Khan, a rematch with (Floyd) Mayweather, (Danny)
Garcia or (Terence) Crawford”
Manny said.
Khan has
also confirmed that discussions with Pacquiao's camp are progressing well, he
had this to say “Talks are going really
well, they [Pacquiao's team] are speaking to my team, I have just left it to my
team. I fight anybody who is brought in front of me. If it's Manny Pacquiao,
it's Manny Pacquiao. If not, then somebody else. But we are still waiting for a
response on what's going to happen”.
