The New Pepsi P1 Smartphone is now on Sale in China

Well, everyone is making smartphones and it came as no surprise when Pepsi officially announced its rumored Android smartphone, Pepsi P1. The soda company has released an Android 5.1 Lollipop smartphone with a custom UI called Dido OS. Pepsi P1 is a 5.5 inch device with a 1080p 2.5D display. It has a a 1.7GHz octa-core processor, a MediaTek MT6592 chipset and sports 2GB of random access memory. It has a fingerprint sensor at the back and the device is powered by a 3,000mAh battery. 


The smartphone has a 13-megapixel primary camera with a f/2.0 aperture and has a 5MP selfie camera. Pepsi P1 has a Mali 450-MP4 GPU and has 16GB of internal storage which is expandable via a SD card slot.

Pricing and Availability
At the moment, Pepsi P1 goes for $110 in China and it’s a limited offer for only 1,000 people on Chinese crowd-funding site JD.com. Before now, it has been sold for about $78 to those who backed the project. There’s one more tier of $150 for a thousand orders after which the device will be sold for $200 in retail stores.
For now it’s only available in China but it’s possible the phone will be launched globally soon.
