Comedian Katt Williams Arrested in Georgia for Battery

According to reports Katt Williams was arrested in Georgia on Monday after a store clerk accused the comedian of allegedly punching him in the middle of an argument. Gainesville police responded to the incident, which happened around 11:30 in the morning at a pool supply store.

Sgt. Kevin Holbrook said that when officers arrived, Williams was lying on the ground with his hands behind his back as though he was ready to go to jail. The report adds that a store employee told police after the two started arguing, Williams allegedly threw a pair of goggles at the employee before going behind the counter, where he punched the employee.

Williams is also currently awaiting trial for an alleged robbery.
