Fan Dies During Game In Markudi

 
The 3-1 win of Lobi Stars was overshadowed by the death of a supporter at the Aper Aku Stadium in Markudi Lobi Stars' supporter slumped and died during Nigeria Professional Football League tie between Lobi Stars and Enugu Rangers on Wednesday in Markudi.

The Pride of Benue created a new record in the NPFL going 50 home matches without a defeat which is the longest current unbeaten streak in the league. It was gathered that the fan who slumped at the stadium was immediately transferred to the Hospital via an amblance but was already confirmed death before arrival.

Toryina Iorkyaa fondly called TY, fan who closely witnessed the incident, narrated how fan collasped in the stand and later died to the shock of many during the game. He said “The guy was sitting in front of me, he just fell down all of a sudden and we did everything we ought to help him come back but he didn't. We later alerted the medic team at the stadium and he was carried to the Hospital. But from my confirmation this morning. He had died even before he was moved out of the stadium
