James Wan Silently Responds To Aquaman Departure Rumors

This past Friday, word got out that Seth Grahame-Smith vacated the director’s chair for the upcoming film, The Flash. Mere hours later, rumours started swirling that James Wan would follow suit and depart the Aquaman movie. it was technically said that he was feeling trepidation about the project, but if you felt the timing of the latter piece of news was too convenient, you may have been onto something.

Not keen to let rumours kill any possible momentum the King of the Seven Seas’ first big screen outing may have, Wan posted the following photo on Twitter. Some of you may recall a somewhat similar situation happened involving Suicide Squad. Rumours that the film’s reshoots were done with the purpose of adding more humor were also swiftly shot down by not only director David Ayer, but also by Jai Courtney, the man inhabiting the role of Captain Boomerang. Said reshoots actually involved action scenes, something not unheard of in the business.

Aquaman, directed by a stoic James Wan, stars Jason Momoa in the titular role and will arrive in theaters on July 27, 2018.
