White Girl Problems is lifted from the titular, best-selling memoir by Babe Walker and was first scooped up by Lionsgate three years ago. In those intervening years, the studio has recruited Alisha Brophy and Scott Miles to adapt Walker’s work for the big screen.
Palmigiano, meanwhile, was also the sole driving force behind Cried Suicide which made its bow at Tribeca Film Festival. Now, the writer-director is ready to make her first foray behind the lens to indulge in some White Girl Problems and although no stars are currently attached, we’ll be keeping track of this one as it marches toward production.
