Toke Makinwa reacts to lawsuit by her estranged husband Maje Ayida

We just reported that Toke Makinwa was slammed with a law suit by her estranged husband Maje Ayida over her book ‘On Becoming’, but now the media personality has also reacted to the situation with an Instagram post. 

In the early hours of today, February 3, 2016, Makinwa posted an image of herself stepping off a plan in Ghana with the caption: “The Lord shall fight for you, and you shall hold your peace”.
 
Maje hired lawyers to stop the sales and promotion of her memoir ‘On Becoming’. Ayida’s legal representatives have sent Toke Makinwa a “letter of demand" to stop all forms of promotional activities and also the sales of the book.

Maje Ayida’s lawyers however said the popular book contained “defamatory words.” According to the letter of demand sent to Toke Makinwa, Maje Ayida was said to have  “requested legal separation” from her “within 6 months” of their marriage in January 2014 — “when it became clear that the marriage was breaking down”.
