Stan Lee, the comic
book celebrity and all-around creative powerhouse passed away early
Monday morning at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.
He is survived by his only daughter Joan Celia Lee and leaves behind a
wealth of comic book legacies ranging from Spider-Man to Black Panther and
everything in between.
As much as this is a sad news for all comic
fans, we have some good news to remind you of and that is the fact that Stan
Lee has already filmed his scenes for Avengers 4 and,
presumably, the standalone Captain Marvel movie, as the Russo Brothers told BBC Radio Scotland.
They
said “He’s the godfather of a lot of
these stories, him and Jack Kirby.
So, Stan, typically we try to get him out — he doesn’t love to fly — so we try
to get him out for his cameos around the same time. So if we have other movies
shooting on the same lot that we’re on, for instance, Ant-Man and the Wasp or Avengers 4, we group his cameos together
and then move him from one set to the next and get him through his cameos in
one day.”
