This is more like an argument tread, BlackBerry has been in the Nigeria smartphone market for over a decade, and have serve purpose of which it was meant. Although one must have to say that the law of diminishing returns is and set in for BlackBerry devices. The BlackBerry devices are now so worthless to the extent that it decreases in price as soon as you buy it. One thing that is uncommon with Androids. For over a year now. Have been using both a Android device and BlackBerry and, my Android even though low cost, has increased in price and still in high demand while my BlackBerry is better of given out than sold because it won't even get a interested person to pay half of what it's worth. 

Either ways, BlackBerry brought us civilization. If not for BlackBerry, many of us will still be on our java phones or at best, Symbian phone devices. But then, Android to some viable extent has gone a extramile and with it variety of manufacturers, everybody here is getting on with one.

Specification

Camera:

BlackBerry devices are generally camera sharp, even the likes of bold 2 is still very much ok. Even though it is of 3mp to 5mp. It still serves a huge function with the ever flashy flashlight compared to Android with the same specification and price. Although if the bold 2 were to be bought new, it's worth a tecno middle range priced device which camera is quite ok.

System

Theirs no doubt that the Android wins this. RAM is worth it and the ROM with it capacity is quite better than most affordable BlackBerry.

Battery Life

Damn!!! No arguments Android is better, maybe because we knew right from on-set that you don't have to switch on your data to get the best of your device

Applications and functions

Yeah, Android is quite a superb experience in terms of applications and functions. Except from the traditional pinging on BlackBerry which I will regard to as the sold birth right. Android serves no better function, although they also posses a app store which you will agree with me is no match with the goggle play store.

Android performs functions that are amazing with the aid of some other devices like the otg cable. You can have the most of your Android phone.

Connectivity

In a country like Nigeria, BlackBerry posses the loyalty of all networks to the internet at a pretty cheaper rate due to probably it less functionality. But then trust the power of Naija. We find our ways through crooked walls and then surfing on Android is equivalent to that of BlackBerry. In fact I can enjoy the best of my subscription to the internet more on my Android but with laudable credit to BlackBerry.

Price

The price of both BlackBerry and Android are quite ok. It's just that you get value for your money with even the least of Android phones. Although that is because there is a form of competition within the Android smartphone market compared to the giant BlackBerry holding his market down to itself.
