Speaking about Arsenal's No 17, Wenger revealed he intends to use Sanchez on Sunday as long as he makes through the next two days unscathed. He said this at his pre-match press conference “the doubt is about him having been out for a long time, and the risk of a set-back. To be clear on all the tests is one thing. To be clear after training is another. But the intensity of a big game you can never replicate in training, but you can make the risk minimal. I'm cautious with him because we cannot afford a set-back, which would mean a very long period out. We don't want to take this risk. The signs he's shown in training this week are positive”.
Sanchez isn’t
the only player coming back into the side as holding midfielder Francis Coquelin was also present
during practice. Coquelin has been sidelined since November after he picked up
a knee injury in their 2-1 defeat at West
Brom though might not play against Chelsea, one man who is, is Mesut Ozil after the German playmaker
has overcome his own fitness concerns. Ozil missed Sunday's 0-0 draw at Stoke City with a foot problem but
showed no signs of a setback as he was given a workout by Arsenal fitness coach
Craig Gant.
