Story Tuesday: The Virgin (Season Two, Episode 2)

Last week we commenced the second season of our Story Tuesday maiden series titled The Virgin. If you missed the first episode of season two go to > Story Tuesday: The Virgin (Season Two, Episode One). The story continues below:

“I really don't know where to start from Marie T” Kessie said as she was still trying to figure out if she should tell Marie T the truth that Abayomi caught her and Sarah having sex. “Mr. Titus want to have sex with her” Tawio said when she noticed Kessie might just go ahead with the truth.

Marie T: I don't get, why would Mr. Titus want to have sex with you?

Tawio: Really Marie T, like you haven’t heard the man’s gist, she...........”

Marie T: Tawio can just keep quiet and let Kessie talk (she said as she cut Tawio short). Kessie is this true? (She asked as she finally sat beside her)

Kessie: Yes T, it is true, I failed his paper which I knew I wasn't suppose to fail so I went to see him in his office to request for my script to see how I failed his course and that was when.......(she paused a lot as tears rolled down her eyes)

Marie T: That was when what?

The explanation she gave next took everybody by storm even Tawio that taught her what to say was really shocked because Kessie went beyond the script and made everything so real as she added crying to the story.

Kessie: He said he could help me pass his subject but I have to sleep with him and I tried to be as polite as I could to turn him down but he insisted and when I saw that he wasn't going to let go I stood up to leave his office but then he......... (She paused again and this time cried out loud)

Both Sarah and Tawio had to stand up, go over her shoulder to pet her as they too were now confused as to what exactly she was trying say.

Kessie: He...he...didn’t allow me leave his office, he lock the door before I could get there then he started to touch me, I tried to scream but nobody heard my voice and before I knew what’s up he raped me.

The three girls in the room with her were very shocked but none was as shocked as Marie T because she knew the whole story but that wasn't what she was hearing and as for Sarah and Tawio they were shocked because the rape part wasn't in the script. Marie T didn't even know where to begin because she clearly knew that Kessie had lied to her and she knew it was all Sarah and Tawio's fault but she decided to throw in one more trick to see what Kessie's reaction was going to be. She started by saying “that man is a bastard, God punish am, I think we should tell someone about this”

Tawio: Tell who T, nobody is going to be believe her, even me still can’t believe it (that was true, Tawio didn't believe Kessie was going to tell that lie because that wasn't what they had planned earlier)

Marie T: Can you just keep shut Tawio, because you clearly don't know anything about rape because if you did you won’t have first lied to me by saying Mr. Titus wanted to sleep with her when the bastard had forcefully slept with her.

Sarah: Really girls is this fight necessary and besides T, rape isn’t something you just say like that, if only you allowed her finish when she was talking I am sure she would have mentioned it.

Marie T: whatever, Sarah that's her palava. So Kessie what do you want to do? Have you told Abayomi?

For like 45seconds there was this awkward silence in the room but Sarah was the one that broke the silence when she said “really T, instead of you to be consoling her, you are talking about one boyfriend who hasn’t even called her since morning”.

Marie T: I am sorry but if I were in her shoes I would let my boyfriend know that I have been raped most especially if that rape means I won’t be a virgin anymore.

As Marie T, Sarah and Tawio were all arguing and fighting over whether or not she should tell Abayomi, Kessie stood up from their midst took the bottle of alcohol that Sarah was drinking earlier and said “I need to clear my head” as she went outside the room.
