Governor Ambode to host Queen of Aso Preliminary Show in Lagos

The Queen of Aso Nigeria Beauty Pageant Contestants for the 11th Edition will Tour Lagos State, Nigeria Between Monday 25th July-Monday 1st August 2016 for their Camping Activities which includes visit to different tourist centers/Resort,Cooking Competition,Cultural Display,Kick Against Rape Novelty Football Match and a Preliminary Fashion Show to round up their activities in Lagos before flying the contestants back to Abuja for the Grand Finale at Sheraton Hotel and Tower Abuja on Friday 5th August 2016.

The Preliminary Fashion Show will hold on Sunday 31th July 2016 at Oriental Hotel,Victoria Island,Lagos by 4pm. Governor Akinwunmi Ambode will be the Chief Host,Top 4 Nigerian Designers will showcase their 2016 collections also 10 Nigerians will receive Aso Outstanding Award 2016‎ which includes- Chief Mrs Abba Folawiyo, Hon Desmond Elliot, Ms Juliet Ibrahim, Mr Seye Kehinde, Dr Olakunle Churchill, Ibile vogue Academy, Mr Lekan Balogun, Chief Mrs Nike Okundaye, YAW, Rt Hon Modashiru Obasa.

Aso means Victory in the Gbagyi dialect. Aso Rock is the largest of the rock out crop within the Abuja metropolis, ranging about 936 meters above sea level, dominating the landscape of the capital city and overlooking offices like the National Assembly, Supreme Court and the Presidential Villa, which represents the three arms of Government in Nigeria. The Queen of Aso is an ambassador of culture and tourism in Nigeria.
