England manager Gareth Southgate has showered praises on
Harry Kane saying he is one of the
best striker he has ever worked with. The Tottenham
striker scored from the penalty spot as England completed their World Cup
European qualifying Group F campaign with a 1-0 win in Lithuania on
Sunday.
Kane has been in exceptional goal scoring form, having
netted 15 times in his last 10 games for club and country, and Southgate was
keen to praise the 24-year-old, who captained England in Vilnius and at Wembley
for the 1-0 win over Slovenia.
He said “It's a
fantastic record and his finishing quality is top, as good as anybody I've
played with or worked with, I'm never in any doubt that when he has a good
opportunity, that it's going to be on target and that there's a fair chance he
scores. We're fortunate to have him but I also think the likes of Rashford, at 19, just need a bit more
time to come to the fore.”
