like we normally do we serve you with the best of not just new music but also
we criticize, analyse and rate those particular sets of new music.
Here are the
songs for this week:
1. Omo Akin ft Falz - Twerk For Me Rmx: While we are still enjoying Twerk For Me from Omo Akin, the artiste didn't even waste time as he dropped a remix to the still hot single. This version retains most of the element in the original so yes it still dope the only addition was Falz verse, though Falz didn't start well but grew into and nailed it..... “she say am the man of her dream, o wa fe ma funmi ni nightmare” (sick). The rating still remains 9/10.
2. BOJ ft Simi - For Sure: Chai, I am not happy with this song, there was this joy when I saw this song because I just had this funny feeling BOJ and Simi would be perfect for a song but from the beginning of the instrumental I was disappointed. I am disappointed with the production of the song, I mean why make BOJ voice that low?, at a point it was as if BOJ was parting Simi. This song would have been a monster hit if the production was dope, the rating would be 4/10.
3. Ice Prince ft Phyno - Trillions: Okay Ice Prince went all Mutumina on us on this one and he brought his Alobam Phyno with him. Okay for someone that has been a critic of Ice Prince, I would cut him some slack here and say he did impress me on this track, I felt the hip hop. The rating would be 8/10.
4. Davido - Gbagbe Oshi: After much postponement Davido finally dropped his Son Of Mercy EP and this is an official single from it and I must say Davdio really impressed, there was this certain fire and energy in his voice and Shizzi as expected came through on the production. The rating would be 8/10.
5. Ycee ft DJ Maphorisa -Omo Alhaji Rmx: Ycee teams up with South African DeeJay, DJ Maphoria and together they gave us a perfect remix to Ycee's hit song Omo Alhaji and I must say it wasn't bad. The rating would be 8/10.
