Swansea City have
approached the Football Association of Wales for permission to speak to Chris Coleman as they continue their
managerial search. It is understood that Coleman remains Swansea's number one
choice to replace Bob Bradley.
Coleman has
experience of Premier League management from his time with Fulham, and Wales
have enjoyed great success under his leadership, reaching the semi-finals of
Euro 2016 in the summer. The 46years old was born in Swansea and made over 150
appearances for his hometown club during his playing days.
Sky sources understand Bayern
Munich's assistant manager Paul
Clement is also a significant
contender for the Swansea job. He interviewed for the role before Bradley
was hired in October and the Swansea board are understood to have been very
impressed with his presentation.
Swansea
stalwart Alan Curtis has been placed in caretaker charge for the home game with
Bournemouth on New Year's Eve.
