Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Espen Sandberg and Joachim Rønning’s swashbuckling sequel, has revealed its lengthy logline and, much to the surprise of no one, it heralds a new adventure for one captain Jack Sparrow.

Bringing that roguish anti-hero to life once again is Johnny Depp, who will be gearing up for a clash with Captain Salazer, an undead bandit who, along with a fleet of ghost sailors, has clawed his way out of the Devil’s Triangle seeking revenge. That places every pirate on the seven seas on red alert, with Sparrow left hunting down the elusive Trident of Poseidon to bring an end to Salazer’s bloodthirsty reign.

Dead Men Tell No Tales also features a handful of franchise newcomers in Kaya Scodelario and Benton Thwaites, who are on board as Carina Smyth and Henry, respectively. Here’s that synopsis in full:
