The Exorcist Would Be Renewed For A Second Season

The latest title to make headlines coming out of renewal/cancellation season is The Exorcist over on Fox, which has earned itself a second season today. Writer and executive producer Jeremy Slater says that they have “a lot more story to tell,” but wouldn’t reveal much else in regards to what’s being planned now that the show has found itself with a somewhat surprising second season.

The Exorcist boasted some solid performances and is based on one of the greatest horror films of all-time, it didn’t make much of a splash when it premiered. Admittedly, the reviews were fairly good, but those all important ratings weren’t terribly impressive. Still, it seems that Fox sees enough potential in the show to keep it around and now, we’ll be getting a second season.

It’ll be interesting to see how The Exorcist continues to grow and evolve from here. No word yet on when it might return to television.
