Artiste: Falz
Album: 27
Tracks: 15 (+2 Bonus)
Features: Wande Coal, Olamide, Davido, Burna Boy, Ycee, Maleek Berry, Medikal, Sir Dauda, Terry Apala
Producers: Sess (The Prblm Kid), Maleek Berry, Juls, Demsa, Spax, Studio Magic

To be honest I suspected Falz might be dropping an album this year, considering how consistent the singles has been dropping but what I didn’t see coming was dropping it without any announcement or hype.

27th of October 2017, Falz celebrated his 27th birthday and he decides to surprise everyone with the release of his third studio album titled 27 as a birthday gift to the fans I guess, so let's see if this was a good birthday gift from the rapper.

Polished is the first track off this album and also a perfect way to kick off this album, Sess introduced his production skills on this and I have to say he killed as Falz came in with some polished flows and not the usual comic flow. Everything about this song is dope, classic hip hop song and the rating will be a perfect 10.

Next song is La fete, this is one of the singles released off this album and already has 9/10 rating in our last week's episode of the Absolute Hearts Music Review and it was produced by Demsa.

Aright featuring Burna Boy is the third track and this was also produced by Sess and once again he did a brilliant work as Burna boy held it down on the hook and Falz came through with some love flows. The rating will be 8/10.

Jeje is another single that was released off the album and it was well received when it drop and the rating according to our week 17 Absolute Hearts Music Review was 9/10, this song was produced by Studio Magic.

Child of the World is up next and if you are all about message then this song is perfect for you, as Falz tell a beautiful story on a great production from Spax. Rating will be 9/10

Boogie featuring Sir Dauda is the 6th song off the album and once again Sess came through on the production as Sir Dauda did what he knows how to do best on the chorus and Falz gave us some smooth melody flows on this, the rating will be 8/10.

I don’t want to sound sentimental so let me just be on the safer side by saying this happens to be my favourite song off this album and of course one of the best if not the best. The Lamba Song sees Falz give us some new school Galala sound on a sick production coming from Studio Magic. Without any vocals at all the song already scored an 8 that’s how dope the instrumentals are, this song will get massive airplay and scatter the club, take that from me. The rating will be a perfect 10

Get Me sees Falz serve us his usual flows as we hear him also giving us some Fela lines on the Juls produced track and this track serves as the 8th track on the album. Not a bad effort at all, the rating will be 8/10

Wande Coal almost took away the shine from Falz on this song with his super funky chorus. Way is produced by Sess and once again we hear Falz coming through with his usual flow as the rating will be 8/10.

I Do It sounds more like a cypher still Falz took no chances on this as he went in hard on another Sess produced track, the rating will be 8/10

Track 11 is Something Light featuring Ycee, this is another single we have heard already and this song will still maintain the same rating from our Absolute Hearts Music Review Week 23 which is a perfect 10.

Le Vrai Bahd Guy is another song Falz used to connect with his French speaking fans as he dished out some of his flows in French just like La Fete. Sess is really The Prblm Kid because he once again came through on the production of this track as the rating will be a perfect 10.

Money featuring Terry Apala see Falz switching up his flow as he sound more serious and less of his usual flow and once again Sess shows that when it comes to mad hip hop production beat he really has it on a lock down and Terry Apala added a different dimension with his Apala sound. The rating will be 9/10

Confirm is another song that addresses some of the societal issues that youths face and once again if you are all about the lyrics then this is another song you can relate to, he features Sir Dauda on this one once again. The rating will be 9/10

Just as the album kicked off with a perfect song the album also ended officially with another perfect song titled Next featuring Ghanaian rapper Medikal and Nigeria extraordinary producer and singer Maleek Berry who has produced this trap infuse sound. The rating will be 9/10.

Bonus: Wehdone Sir and Bahd Baddo Baddest

For an album that didn’t get any hype or announcement before its release which isn’t a usual thing in this country, Falz really did surprise, not just with the release but also with the quality of sounds on this album. This is Falz' best album yet much better and more of hip hop compared to Stories That Touches and it will go down as one of the best albums in 2017. The official rating will be 8.9/10.
