How to care for your skin in dry season

Dry season is typically a trying time for all skin types. Every year, the dry season causes havoc on the skin. The blazing sun and scorching heat can be aggravating, particularly to the skin. Pollution and other environmental contaminants deplete your skin’s natural radiance, leaving it oily, dull, and blemished, and can even invite infections. What Effect Does the Dry Season Have on the Skin?
Temperature increases, combined with humidity and heat, can stimulate the activity of the sebaceous glands. Oily skin appears oilier, while dry skin appears rough and patchy. Heat can also cause more pores to open, which can then become clogged with dirt and oil, trapping bacteria and resulting in acne, pimples, and blemishes on the face.

How to Take Care of Your Skin During the Dry Season
1. Consider a Change in Your Face Wash.
While a nourishing facewash is sufficient in the rainy season, a face wash that can draw out excess oil from your skin is required in the dry season. Consider using a non-foaming cleanser if you have dry skin. This would also be ideal for combination skin. Wash your face frequently throughout the day to keep your skin clean and refreshed. 2. Introduce Antioxidants Into Your Facial Skincare
During this season, invest in a good antioxidant serum. Antioxidant serum not only hydrates your skin, but it also protects it from environmental damage. It promotes collagen production and scavenges harmful free radicals to protect the skin. 3. Exfoliate to Maintain Healthy Skin
Exfoliation is essential for brighter, smoother skin. It removed dead skin cells and dulling skin debris. It is, however, recommended to exfoliate with a natural home remedy. People with sensitive skin should use gentle exfoliants that are gentle on their skin.

4. Avoid Wearing Heavy Makeup.
Wear minimal makeup on your face to allow your skin to breathe. Humidity and heat inhibit the skin’s ability to breathe, stressing it out. As a result, avoid anything heavy on the face. 5. Use a High-Quality Toner
Using a good toner can assist in closing open pores. This is necessary to prevent oil buildup in the open pores. 6. Remember to Look After Your Feet.
Don’t forget that your feet carry you around all day and require attention as well. Exfoliate the skin on your feet on a regular basis. If you intend to wear open footwear, apply a moisturizer to your feet.

7. Consume plenty of water
Water is the most important component of healthy skin tissue. It maintains the softness and radiance of your skin. Take at least 2-3 liters per day. Water is also essential for flushing toxins from the skin via sweat and urine. 8. Pay special attention to the eye area.
The skin around the eyes is significantly thinner and more delicate. Choose an undereye gel that contains hyaluronic acid, cucumber, or even honey. These moisturize the skin around the eyes and prevent wrinkles.
