Stadiums In The Spanish La Liga And Their Capacity

As we await for the Spanish league to kick off, on the 21st to 24th of August, 2015 on various grounds across Spain. The defending champions happens to be FC Barcelona who won the league thanks to their trio; Messi,Suarez and Neymar (M.S.N). But little we know about the playing grounds, we bring to you your La liga teams for the 2015/2016 season, their city and their stadium capacity. Starting accordingly in alphabetical order.
1. Athletic Bilbao plays in Bilbao and their stadium is the San Mamés with a sitting capacity of 53,332 spectators.
2. Atlético Madrid plays in the capital city Madrid and their stadium is the Vicente Calderón with 54,960 sitting capacity.
3. Barcelona FC plays in Barcelona, their stadium is the Camp Nou which at the moment is the largest stadium in Spain with a sitting capacity of 99,786 spectators.
4. Betis plays in Sevilla their stadium is Benito Villamarín with a capacity of 52,500 spectators. 5. Celta Vigo plays in Vigo in their stadium Balaídos with a sitting capacity of 31,800 spectators.
6. Deportivo La Coruña plays their matches in A Coruña and their stadium is the Riazor whose capacity is 34,639spectators.
7. Eibar plays in the small city Eibar in their stadium Ipurúa which is the smallest among the 20 teams with 6,000spectators.
8. Espanyol plays in Barcelona inside the Power8 Stadium with a capacity of 40,500 spectators.
9. Getafe plays in Getafe inside the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez stadium with 17,700 sitting capacity.
10. Granada plays in Granada inside the Nuevo Los Cármenes stadium 22,524 sitting capacity.
11. Las Palmas plays in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria inside the Estadio Gran Canaria, with a sitting capacity of 31,250
12. Levante is based in Valencia inside the Ciutat de València stadium with capacity of 25,534 spectators.
13. Málaga plays in Málaga inside La Rosaleda stadium with sitting capacity of 30,044 spectators.
14.Rayo Vallecano plays in the capital Madrid inside the Campo de Vallecas stadium which can hold 14,708spectators.
15.Real Madrid play in Madrid and their stadium Santiago Bernabéu 85,454 is the second largest in Spain.
16. Real Sociedad is located in San Sebastián and the team plays in the Anoeta stadium which holds 32,076 spectators.
17. Sevilla plays in Sevilla inside the magnificent Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán which can hold 45,500 spectators.
18. Sporting de Gijón is located in Gijón and plays inside the El Molinón stadium with 29,029 sitting capacity.
19. Valencia plays in Valencia inside the Mestalla stadium of 55,000sitting capacity.
20. Villarreal plays in Villarreal inside the El Madrigal stadium which can hold 22,000 spectators.
These are the various stadiums you will be seeing your respective teams play in. Two teams from Sevilla, Barcelona, Valencia and three from Madrid will all be involved in intra-city matches and the rivalry is always keen, which will always keep you at the edge of your seats.
