Enyimba Win Seventh NPFL Title

 
Enyimba finally has been crowned the champions of the Nigerian Professional Football League making it a record of seven titles and here are some stats of how the season has turned out. Final matches of the league would be played this weekend


Some quick stats about the NPFL, which is set to round off this weekend   

1. 1,300 yellow cards as well as 69 red cards have been recorded so far this season.

2. 789 goals have now been recorded in 369 this season - an average of 2 goals per game

3. Nasarawa Utd's Thomas Zenke scored the 220th away goal this season.

4. 220 away goals have been scored this season, representing 28% of the total number of goals scored.

5. Bayelsa Utd, FC Taraba & Kwara Utd technically relegated from League

6. Any one of the three can still join the already relegated three: Akwa Utd, Dolphins, Sharks, Rangers & Lobi Stars

7. Enyimba has won the league for the seventh time.

8. The biggest home wins this season are Warri Wolves 5-0 El-Kanemi Warriors (26 July 2015)

And Sunshine Stars 5-0 El-Kanemi Warriors (23 August 2015)

9. The biggest away wins this season are Heartland 0-3 Sunshine Stars (3 May 2015) and

El-Kanemi Warriors 1-4 IfeanyiUbah (21 June 2015).

10. Highest scoring match: Heartland 5-2 Nasarawa United

11. Longest winning streak: Enugu Rangers and

Warri Wolves each with four straight wins

12. Longest unbeaten run: Enyimba ten games
