Demi Lovato Attacked Taylor Swift On Donation To Kesha

As earlier reported that Taylor Swift donated $250,000 to Kesha which is intended to help fund Kesha’s battle to get out of a contract with Dr. Luke who she has accused of raping her, Demi Lovato has now attacked Taylor Swift for not speaking out on the issue and suggesting the donation was only to further her brand.

After news of Taylor's donation broke, Demi hopped on twitter to fire off tweets asserting that donating just her cash wasn't good enough. Demi said she was sick of female singers using feminism to further brands without actually being the ones to have uncomfortable conversations.  The outburst came after Kesha's mother Pepe Sebert had gone on Twitter to publically thank Taylor for her generous donation. She posted: “Taylor Swift has just generously donated $250,000 to Kesha, as a show of support during this difficult time.AMAZING!!

Demi found herself locked in a war of words with Swift fans after accusing the Shake it Off singer of throwing money at Kesha's situation.  An account called proudofswift took Demi to task, saying: “The fact that Demi took the attention off of the REAL issue, which is Kesha, and put it on her and what seems to be a new ivalry, really shows her true character. Proud of Taylor Swift for donating money to help Kesha through this time

Demi lashed back at the post and denied she was using Kesha's misfortune as a platform to talk about herself saying “How the f*** am I making this about myself? At least I'm talking about it.  Not everyone has 250k to just give to people. Would love to but I didn't grow up with money and def (sic) haven't made as much as her.  At least I speak up about s*** that's uncomfortable to talk about rather than trying to be politically correct 24/7. There's no rivalry. I just give more f**** than other people and would rather start a dialogue ABOUT WOMEN COMING FORWARD ABOUT BEING RAPED than throw money at one person

The comments from the Confident singer and songwriter came after she posted 10 tweets on Sunday in which she spoke about the way women were treated when they come forward  to discuss traumatic events they have experienced.
