PSG Defender Serge Aurier Suspended

Paris Saint-German defender Serge Aurirer has been suspended indefinitely by the team over a series of allegedly homophobic slurs towards his manager Laurent Blanc and several team-mates.

Aurier held a question and answer session with supporters via the social media network Periscope on Saturday evening. During the broadcast, he aimed insults at his manager Blanc, forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic, goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu and full back Gregory Van der Wiel. One participant asked Aurier if his manager Blanc engages in oral sexual activity with Ibrahimovic and he replied: “He takes everything”. In the same video, Aurier went on to describe his manager as une fiotte which means a faggot. Aurier proceeded to describe Van der Wiel as wetter than wet and when asked if he prefers German goalkeeper Kevin Trapp to the Italian Salvatore Sirigiu, the defender said Trapp is the better option. Aurier then claimed that Sirigu is guez, which would translate as useless or finished.

Aurirer was told not to attend training on Sunday and it is understood that PSG are set to hold discussions with Aurier over the comments made in an online interview.  It is believed that the player is preparing to issue a statement apologising for his actions as he attempts to resurrect his reputation and career. Aurier has been a key part of the PSG side this season. He has already made 24 appearances for the French club during the campaign and he has improved immeasurably under the guidance of Blanc.
