Terry should join West Ham in the summer- Harry Redknapp

Former QPR and Totteham manager Harry Redknapp has advise John Terry to join his former club West Ham in the summer. The defender has spoken publicly about his disappointment that Chelsea have not yet opened contract talks with him when his current deal is set to expire at the end of the season.

Terry insists he will not play for another club in England, but Redknapp would like to see him turn out for West Ham, where he spent four years as a youth player, at the Olympic Park saying West Ham would be a good move for West Ham and John, he was at West Ham as a schoolboy”.

Redknapp does not believe Terry should leave the Premier League yet and insists he would have won Manchester City the title had they signed him in the January transfer window. Redknapp, who was speaking ahead of the return of the UEFA Europa League on BT Sport said “If I had been at Man City, I'd have got on the phone on deadline day and tried to take him now. I'd have said, “If you ain't giving him another contract, we'll take him. He could have won the league for Man City. They wouldn't have got smashed up like they did by Leicester. He'd have marked Robert Huth better from set plays than whoever did on Saturday. It is difficult, I'd keep John personally. John has bought it to a head by coming out and saying what he's said. It is difficult now.  If they had done it in the summer but now he has the crowd on his side from John's point of view, he wants to stay but if he isn't going to stay it’s: “Here I am, who wants me?” America or China, whoever”.
