Rory Mcilroy Out In The Final Group On Day One Of The Masters At Augusta

Rory McIlroy will be the last player to tee off in the opening round of the 80th Masters on Thursday. McIlroy will have to wait until 7:01pm to begin his second attempt at completing a career Grand Slam of majors, and he has been grouped with two-time major winner Martin Kaymer and former FedExCup champion Bill Haas for the first two days at Augusta National.

Jordan Spieth will be close to finishing his first round by the time McIlroy starts his, and the holder will be on the first tee at 2:48pm alongside England's Paul Casey and reigning US Amateur champion Bryson DeChambeau. World No 1 Jason Day also has a late start on Thursday, although he will tee off just under an hour earlier than McIlroy in a threesome with Matt Kuchar and veteran South African Ernie Els.

Lee Westwood has the honour of playing alongside Tom Watson as the American makes his 43rd and final appearance at the Masters, while last week's Shell Houston Open winner Jim Herman will hit the opening blow at 1.20pm following the ceremonial tee-shots from honorary starters Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player. European Ryder Cup captain Darren Clarke will be able to check out the credentials of British Masters winner Matt Fitzpatrick, while victorious Gleneagles team-mates Justin Rose and Jamie Donaldson will play together in the group behind the in-form Adam Scott.
