Just yesterday, Wizkid announced via his twitter handle that he is no longer an ambassador to Telco giant, GLO, and same day, Timaya unveiled himself as a GLO ambassador. Until now it is not still clear if it was Wizkid that failed to renew his contract with the telecommunications company or he was dropped.
However, we can now confirm that Nigerian pop duo, P-Square are also no longer GLO ambassadors. The brothers were the longest serving GLO ambassadors having signed a N240m deal back in 2010.
Earlier this year when the bad blood between the Okoye brothers was in high spirits, fans thought it would affect their endorsements especially when the brothers went on having their separate record labels, projects and even individually bagging endorsement deals with other brands but Glo released a public statement to assure fans of their commitment in the P-Square deal.
But as it stands right now, it seems Glo is seeking to look for other artistes.
Reports also have it that Burna Boy, Wande Coal and Sammie Okposo have been dropped as ambassadors of the company. View a tweet by Peter of P-Square announcing their departure from GLO below:.
We thank the entire Glo family for the luv & support. Our journey with you was amazing. We r grateful. God bless u #NoLongerGloAmbassadors— Peter Okoye MrP (@PeterPsquare) October 28, 2016
