Season 7 Of The Walking Dead Will Get More Extended Episodes

Last week’s episode of The Walking Dead ran for a whopping 85 minutes, giving us ample time to get even more acquainted with Negan and see how he’s going to be making life quite difficult for Rick and co. as the season goes on.

While the extended runtime may have caused some excitement amongst fans at first, as it turns out, it didn’t really add a whole lot to the outing, instead feeling more like padding to sell additional ad space. Hopefully, that won’t be the case when the show airs its sixth and seventh episodes, as we’ve now learnt that they’ll come in at 70 and 90 minutes, respectively.

Episode six will be titled “Swear” and according to the official synopsis, we’ll see someone stumble upon a brand new society, which is unlike anything seen before. The installment after that, meanwhile, is titled “Sing Me a Song” and will take a deeper look at the Sanctuary and the world of the Saviors while members of Alexandria look for supplies.

Those are pretty vague as far as descriptions go, but if you’ve read the source material and have been keeping tabs on all of the characters, you may be able to make some assumptions here. In regards to “Swear,” given that Tara and Heath are the only ones currently on the road, it’s probably them who discover the new society. Furthermore, said society will likely be the Oceanside community, a group of “survivors living on the east coast of the United States, in or near the state of Virginia.”

As for “Sing Me a Song,” the title of the episode is most likely a reference to Negan forcing Carl to belt him out a tune after the young Grimes lad stows away to the Saviors’ compound and guns several of them down. It’s an iconic moment from the comics and one that fans will no doubt be happy to see brought to life on the big screen.
