Tenni: Aruna Quadri bags nomination for ITTF Award

 

Aruna Quadri  has been nominated for the 2016 Male Table Tennis Star for the outgoing year, according to a media release on the International Table Tennis Federation website, the 28-year-old  Rio 2016 Olympics quarter-finalist is the only African player shortlisted for the award.

Aruna will battle the 2016 Men's World Cup champion and two-time 2016 ITTF World Tour Super Series winner Fan Zhendong, Ma Long, a Rio 2016 Olympic Games Singles and Team Champion, and Jun Mizutan, a bronze medallist at the Rio Olympics,  for the prestigious award.

The ITTF Star Awards, which is in its fourth edition, will be held at the Doha's famous and prestigious Sheraton Hotel to celebrate the world's best table tennis players' achievements in 2016.
