Clint Eastwood will get behind the camera for The 15:17 to Paris, which has a script from newcomer Dorothy Blyskal. Apparently, casting on the movie is already underway, with production looking to begin later this year. In terms of what it’s actually about, the film will tell the story of three American friends who took down an ISIS terrorist on the #9364 train from Brussels to Paris in 2015.
Two of them were off-duty members of the army, and together, they stopped the assailant before he could carry out his plan. The actual event that the film will be focusing on only lasted a few minutes, so it’ll be interesting to see how the director fleshes out the rest of the story and stretches it into a full-length feature.
There’s been no word yet on who Eastwood may have his eye on to star in The 15:17 to Paris.
