Arrgh!! 'Star Trek 4' Might Not Be Happening

According to Zachary Quinto, who plays Spock in the franchise, a script is currently being written, but that’s not a guarantee that we’ll see the film come to fruition.

Last we heard, the studio was moving ahead with the project and apparently, it’ll see the return of Chris Hemsworth. However, Quinto doesn’t sound quite as confident in the film getting off the ground. Right now, it’s hard to say what’s going on behind the scenes, but it does sound like there’s at least some interest in doing another one. There has to be if a script’s being written.

He said “I know that they are working on a script for another one and we’ll see how that all plays out, but the nice thing about that experience is that the time in between those big tentpole films allows us to go off and cultivate a lot of different creative experiences for ourselves. … I’m hopeful that we’ll do another one, but there’s no guarantee.”
