The former member of
People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Special aide of Former President Jonathan
Goodluck, Doyin Okupe, who recently dumped PDP, has discarded the existence of the ruling party, All Progressives
Party (APC) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
In a exclusive interview with
Seun Okinbaloye at the Channels TV’s evening programme, Okupe lamented the
state of wellbeing of the PDP, which used to be the ruling party ascribing it
to be an ‘expired’ party.
In what seems to be
argumentative with Okinbaloye, Chief Okupe waded off the chances of crossing to
APC having left PDP.
He said: It’s very unlikely
for me to join APC having left PDP. I left the party because it has expired in
function.
“APC is also in expiration.
Why should I leave an expired party and join another party close to
expiration?”, he queried.
Recall, Okupe, who has once
aspired to be the national chairman of PDP, shocked Nigerians with his
resignation on Sunday morning.
