Arsenal
striker Jodie Taylor has been named England women's player of the year. Taylor finished Euro 2017 this
summer as the Golden Boot winner and became only the third English footballer
to score a hat-trick at a major tournament, something she achieved against
Scotland. Taylor was also presented with the UEFA golden boot award.
The
31-year-old said “It was worth the wait.
It took a long time to get here. It's better late than never. If it wasn't for
them giving me the quality service I wouldn't have been receiving this.”Manchester City defender Lucy Bronze, Reading midfielder Jade Moore and Taylor's Arsenal team-mate Jordan Nobbs were the other contenders for the award.
