Avatar Sequels Will Be The Most Expensive Films Ever Made

James Cameron Avatar  which stands as $2.78 billion at box office chart is yet to be beaten and with the announcement of not one, not two, but four full-blown sequels, beginning with the launch of Avatar 2 in December of 2020, the question remain if these films will actually be able to match the box office take of the original.
One thing that is certain though is that these sequels will be the most expensive films in history as a budget of over $1 billion has been put aside for the four sequels, these will be some of the priciest films ever made.

Studio executive Lachlan Murdoch said “Avatar 2, 3, 4 and 5 will be the most expensive movies of all time.”

Avatar 2 won’t get the ball rolling until December 18th, 2020. After that Avatar 3 (December 17th, 2021), Avatar 4 (December 20th, 2024) and Avatar 5 on December 19th, 2025.
