3 years after dropping his debut album 6’0 Clock, the self-acclaimed king of the south Yung6ix drops is second album titled High Star and this album houses a whole of artistes both known and unknown.

Yung6ix has somehow remained one of the most underrated rappers we have and he knows that, that's why he has put in a lot of work into this album, according to him this will be the best rap album for years to come.

Well, without further ado let's see if High Star will live up to the hype

The album kicks off with the song I Pray, a prayerful and wishful song produced by Hycienth Activating. You know what I say about songs like this, you can never get it wrong and featuring Oriste Femi made it more perfect, not a bad song to kick off the album at all as the rating will be 8/10. 

Money is Relevant features Phyno and Percy and this is one of the tracks released off the album and we already know how well the song did, the song was produced by Disally, Ballertosh and Sammy Guitar and the rating is 9/10. 

The Boy (Oshe Oshe) is the third track on this album and on this 6ix features Jilex Anderson who also produced the track. This is a typical hip hop party track and Yung6ix really came in strong on this one sounding all foreign and Jilex also came through on the chorus, the rating will be 9/10.

Beautiful Scars sees 6ix showing his emotional side on this beautifully produce song and I have to say from the beginning to the end this song is dope, the concept, the instrumentals mehn is brain bursting and of course his flows were on point as expected, the Disally produced track will have a perfect 10/10. 

Gbe Seyin features singer Niniola, who also recently dropped her debut album. This is a song you will start to fall in love with the moment you begin to hear Niniola's voice and it gets better as 6ix also starts to flow. The rating for this Hycienth Activating song will be 8/10. 

Ferragamo which is another track produced by Hycienth Activating isn’t a strong effort coming from 6ix as we hear him trying to switch his flows and that didn’t really work out well though it has to be said that the production is cool, the rating will be 6/10.

Let Me Know featuring Davido is another track that was released off this album and it was well accepted by the general public as the song did pretty well and also had an 8/10 rating from our Absolute Hearts Music Review, it was produced by Disally.  

6ix gives us the best of Trap music with Grammy Money which he features Praiz and M.I and so far so good this is the best song off this album. 6ix really went in hard on the Disally-produced track as Praiz and M.I also made sure the song maintained that 10/10 standard it started with. 

Lit is up next and just like the name implies this song is lit as 6ix continues to thrill us with his swaggerlomo rap, this is another super produced rap song by Looloo and the rating will be 9/10.

If this song was release as a single it will probably go down as the best rap/hip hop single of the year, Stay Woke is the dopiest rap collaboration I have heard this year and just like it says in the song, this is not the usual African music. Big up to Dremo, Looloo, Sean Dennis, DJ Timmy, Wale Turner, and Blood Hot, every one of them came through on this joint, the rating will be 10/10 and also credit to Disally for the wicked production. 

No Favor is another single that was released off this album and this was the song that really prepared us for what to expect on this album, the song it still getting massive airplays as the rating remains a 9/10 and it features Dice Alies x Mr. Jollof and produced by Disally. 

I hope some rappers will listen to The Weekend to understand how a hip hop party track should be done, 6ix features Ycee on this track and together gave us another 9/10 rating song, produced by Disally.

The Man is another song that was release off this album and the rating from our Absolute Hearts Music Review is 8/10, this is also produced by Disally. 

The album comes to an end with this super produced track titled Good Times and this features Disally who also produced the track. 6ix gives us some very decent flows on this piano influenced track and the rating will be 8/10.

So there you have it folks, the High Star album is really a high star project as I have to say this will go into my top three rap albums for the year 2017 and yes this album would also go down as one of the best and dopiest rap album as the official rating of the album will be 8.6/10.
