Capital Records Co-owners Clarence Peters & Ill Bliss Contradict Themselves On Chidinma's Exit

Chidinma has been with Capital Hill Records owned by video director Clarence Peters and indegenous rapper Ill Bliss since her rise into stardom after emerging as winner to MTN Project fane season 3. In an interview by HipTV with Clarence Peters on Chidinma;s exit fromthe label, he said

'I don't know if Chidinma is gone or not, she hasn't told me she wants to leave so I don't know. I cant answer a question I don't have an answer to. Yes, her contract expired and we are in conversation on her contract but that's where it is, i don't know if she is gone, maybe when she gets back from France we will sit down and have a meeting as to are you gone or are you not gone? But as of the last time we spoke which is the day she traveled and also the day all this happened she said she was shocked, Maybe if Chidinma tells you she is gone it will probably be the first time i am also hearing it, As far as I am concerned Chidinma is a Capital Hills artistes that we are reviewing her contract. Whether she would be signed or not is a different conversation but as far as paper is concerned she hasnt said that she is not an artiste of Capital Hill music'

Ill Bliss also spoke about the issue but his view contradicts that of Clarence Peters saying Chidinma's exit was mutual.

'To be honest I raised Chidinma as an artiste from the scratch even before she made her first record. So I am her mentor, we have been working since 2010 and this is 2016, that's 6 years down the line.If you has a kid in 2010 when we (Capital Hill and Chdinma) started working, the kid would be fully grown and talking now. So i look at it like I have done the work and a time comes when every good thing comes to an end, an artiste has to go. I feel that there comes a time when artiste need to take it to the next level and start their own labels.We have a lot more artistes coming and we wish Chidinma all the luck and I am her big brother so anything she needs she knows she can call me" he said..
