Football Federation chairman, Amaju Pinnick has been elected President of the
Organising Committee for the Africa Cup of Nations.
He succeeds Issa Hayatou who recently lost the CAF presidential post for the first time in 29 years to Ahmad Ahmad.
It’s win-win for the NFF president who defeated a Beninoise counterpart to win the CAF executive committee west zone B seat during the 39th CAF General Assembly in March.
It’s win-win for the NFF president who defeated a Beninoise counterpart to win the CAF executive committee west zone B seat during the 39th CAF General Assembly in March.
This is because
Pinnick was also appointed as the president of CAF’s Media Committee at the
inaugural meeting of the new CAF Executive Committee in Manama, Bahrain.
Amaju Pinnick, who
was appointed as NNF president in 2014, is the first Nigerian to lead AFCON’s
