Musical Review Of Songs Released From 24th to 28th August

How was your weekend? Hope you all had a great musical weekend like I did. Welcome to another episode of your weekly musical reviews on Absolute Hearts and like we do, we review the latest songs that were released during the previous week. Our analyses are still base on the beats, lyrics, message and what potentials a song has in becoming a hit or miss song.
With that been said here are the songs we are analysing this week starting from Monday 24th till Friday 28th August.
1.      Blackmagic - Aunty Sola and Rock Your Body (ft Adekunle Gold x Sir Dauda):  If there is one thing I respect Blackmagic for, he just knows how to make Afropop sound so sweet and melodious. Aunty Sola produced by Kid Konnect has a very dope beat with an electrifying effect and Blackmagic did justice to the beat with his lyrics and the Fela Style he brought in made very good sense, I rate this song 8/10.
Rock Your Body which is more of a highlife song was also produced by Kid Konnect and Magic was aided on this by Adekunle Gold x Sir Dauda. The song which talks about his desire to rock a girl body doesn’t really have what it takes to be a hit song though the song is a very cool song with nice melody. The song would have done better if Magic didn't feature anybody as Adekunle didn't really come to the party and Sir Dauda was also below par. I rate this song 6/10.

2.      D’Prince -Kollity: Every time I hear D’Prince sing, I get to laugh, he sounds so funny to my ear but hey he has been called the Jonzing Master with his Jonzing style of doing music. Kollity is another brilliant jonzing song with production credit going to Don Jazzy and I rate the song a kollity 7/10.

3.      Gentle - In2you: Saying this dude sounds like 2face is an understatement to how much resemblance his vocal has to that of 2Baba. In2you is a love song with a very nice blend of instrumental with lovely lyrics and the production credit goes to Keyz Klef. I rate the song 8/10

4.      PuffTee ft JJC - Packaging: Ace producer PuffTee who was responsible for the hit song Yahozee, join forces with the super talented JJC to provide this nice melodious song that talks about fakers and pretenders wey just they package. The song has a rating of 8/10.

5.      Niyola - Go on: The E.M.E first lady came out strong on this one, very nice song with good lyrics and definitely a hit song in the RnB circle. Her vocal blended perfectly with the beat and the way she switched from English to Yoruba was killing. The production credit goes to Shizzi and I rate the song 8/10.

6.      Terry G-Nonsense: DXL really killed this beat and Terry G wasn't able to do justice to it. What the Apako Master did on this beat wasn’t really cool but because of the beat the song would be a hit. Lyrically Terry was poor and his concept wasn't original, it has an element of Faze’s Kolomental. No matter what you sing on this beat, it would be a hit and that’s  why I am rating this 8/10.

     7.      CDQ - Oobi ft Cayana: It seems CDQ has decided to stay with the street on this one. A very catchy chorus with powerful verse and sick punchlines like omo ele bi 99 fe bounce lemi likise beat, this song is definitely a hit song. Masterkfrat is the man behind this once again. 8/10

    8.      Mr. Raw ft Phyno-Odi okay: Major Bangz once again killed it on this song, his beat was dope and when you have an artiste like Mr. Raw and Phyno on a track, well let just say the result in one word would be Epic. I rate the song 8/10

9.      Naeto C ft Mc Galaxy-Nack: Till the end of this song I kept banging my head to the beat, Jay Pizzle came out strong on the beat.  Not what fans would except from Naeto because this isn’t his kind of song but Mc Galaxy was the perfect back up as he did well to save the song. I rate it a 7/10.
